I see many other reviews are upset with long wait times or mixed up orders. What do you expect at a slammed pizza place in a small island town with a limited crew of staff? Anyway, rant aside this place was great!

One of the owners was running nonstop to help keep up with things and they gave great service all things considered. They had a couple local beers on tap which was great to sip on while we waited.

The pizza was the bomb! We had a 1/2 & 1/2 pizza with the Sausage/Shallot & Pepperoni. Both were amazing. The sausage & shallot in particular was my favorite.

We came off the ferry late 8:30. They were super welcoming and friendly.
We ordered the Sausage and Shallot pizza. It was well prepared and tasty.
They had a nice selection of N/A beverages as well.
I gave it 4 stars for atmosphere because of the deck and the view of the water.
I can’t properly review service as I did carry out.

AMAZING food. Crust was thin and flaky. Plus they were open when everything else on this island seems to be closed on a Sunday.

Just had lunch at Island Pie. What a treat! The location is right across from beautiful Deer Harbor. The service was great and the food was magnificent! Our Sausage & Shallot Pizza was deliciously devine and the beet salad was a flavor filled feat! We will definitely be back.

Italian sausage and shallots pizza is my favorite! Shallots are fried perfectly and fragrant. Generous portions of toppings. I enjoy their gluten-free crust, thin and crisp. Owners are always working hard. Great people, warm and welcoming. They have a lovely patio seating overlooking the harbor.

Everything we ordered was so delicious! Prices were very reasonable. We ordered the Squash Pizza, Fall Mushrooms, and Beet Salad through online ordering and the process was easy and my order was ready promptly. When I went to pick up the order, I noticed a daily special, egg rolls, which we can't resist, so I added that on. They were the bomb! Best fried spring rolls I have had in a very long time.

We were staying in Deer Harbor Marina and based on other reviews, had low expectations.

My husband ordered the lasagna and they brought it out before the pizza, so it was super hot and delicious. While waiting for the pizza, I regretted not getting the lasagna.

When my sausage pizza arrived, it was steaming hot and the cheese was all stretchy when I pulled a slice out. My first taste of the cheese was buttery, rich, and slightly salty. I’m waxing poetic because I swear, this cheese was AMAZING. The crust was nice and crispy. I scraped my fork across the bottom and it made a lovely sound. I hate soggy crust.

I briefly considered ordering a second lasagna and pizza for leftovers. I struggled to keep my husband off my leftovers at lunch the next day.

The next time we’re in the San Juans, we’ll detour to Deer Harbor to get pizza and lasagna!

My friends and I just had a fabulous dining experience at this incredible gem on Orcas Island called Island Pie in Deer Harbor. The owner Jim took our order and was so personable and kind. When his Vietnamese wife needed him in the kitchen our engaging Polish waitor took over and was such a sweetheart. I was so pleased to know they had gluten free crust and when my White Pizza came on regular crust by mistake, Jim appeared at our table instantly without even being asked with the gluten free one I ordered. I had to have pesto, and preferred one cheese to the standard 4 cheese blend and he was so willing to accommodate my specific desires. It was frickin' delicious! I ate too much because my mouth was so happy 🙂 I am an avid food consumer, a former chef and I highly recommend this delightful pizza restaurant with a water view to feed your soul while your mouth and body experience nirvana.

We split a pizza, half seasonal squash, half sausage - both were yummy. We sat outside with a view of the harbor. Service was exceptional. My wife and I had a great experience!

Ordered and picked up a pie to consume on our boat in DeerHarbor Marina. The pizza is to DIE FOR: crisp crust with cornmeal, well balanced with the toppings. Marinara sauce beautifully and carefully enhanced with fresh seasonings, cheeses perfectly blended, crisp shallots and Italian sausage pieces. We now have another compelling reason to make Deer Harbor a port of call.

My partner and I shared a delicious sausage pizza and beat salad here for our 10 year date-aversary! We were able to call ahead from the ferry and they had the pizza fresh out of the oven when we got there! We got takeout but the place has a beautiful view of the marina and bay beyond.

We are regular visitors to Deer Harbor - Island Pie is almost always part of our experience. Pizza is very good - my wife is particularly impressed with the crust - the room is cozy and with atmosphere should you choose to eat in, the bar is cute, a great deck for good weather, and a friendly crew. Don’t hesitate - this is a good place.

Deep Dish ATW! Loved the desert menu with ice cream. Lovers hang out, contractors dine out. Just marina charmed.

A quaint little pizza place located directly across from the wonderful scenic views of Deer harbor Marina, and the bay. The atmosphere is laid-back and inviting and the owners are a hard working family. The pizzas are unique in that they are not your typical pizza styles. The flavors are great and the staff is friendly.

Excellent food and fun visit with other diners! A little mood music playing in the background would be great or even adding sound to the football games on TV might be nice. Enjoying time with the owners' two-year-old was a highlight!

Wonderful little place, we arrived during a lull in customers (perfect) so we had the undivided attention of the owner who was wonderful, I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation about Lopez and his experience living here for the last 23 years. I very much appreciate his commitment for his customers by making his dough every day and bringing quality ingredients and flavors into the food. We got the ham and pineapple pizza and it has the perfect amount of pineapple! would 100% visit again and we are totally willing to pay the 12$ for real Canadian Bacon 😁

Met the owners and they were wonderful. We ordered the Seasonal Squash and Sausage and Shallot Pizzas. Both gluten free and vegan. They were Dynamite. Beautiful way to spend an early afternoon in Deer Harbor.

Vegan options are nice to see and the beet salad was good. More vegan options and some experimenting with different non-dairy cheeses would be even better.

Lunch was good despite the completely over worked staff—that all had good attitudes. We had the beet salad, mushroom and shrimp appetizers. All pretty good. This is definitely a stop.

Absolutely wonderful food. Loved our pizza, the squash special (we added chicken) the sauce was fantastic. Their Island Salad which is their spin on a Caesar salad was also great. Everyone was kind and it is a beautiful patio.

Shallot sausage pizza was delicious! Accommodating and friendly staff. Served our large group close to closing.

We eat here pretty often living on the island. By far the best pizza you will find on and off the island. Being able to slow down, relax and enjoy the views with great drinks and food this is the best place. With food allergies in the family this place definitely has quality ingredients, and great staff. Would absolutely recommend you visit.

Great pizza, great service, great location! We were a large group, and we were able to sit on the porch at sunset. Favorite pizzas were the butternut balsamic and the sausage shallot. But classics were good too.

Totally forgot to leave a review but this place is beyond exceptional, food was amazing, and the people that work here are amazing. I forgot my wallet at the restaurant and the staff was responsive and sent me my wallet in the mail! Thank you island pie! We’ll definitely be back.

We walked in and thebplace looked deserted, empty and old. I was not expecting much for the food, howerver; I was proven wrong. The pizza here was amazing and delicious. I saved golf for the next day and it tasted just as good cold. Great place for pizza. Vegetarian options: They had a beet salad and a vegetarian pizza.

Enjoyed delicious pizza and drinks on the deck. Staff was attentive, and it was quite busy, but we did not feel rushed.

Definitely the best Pizza I had ever !! Started with garlic breadsticks and then white pizza (chicken ) It was delicious !! The Owners were so nice and the hospitality provided was amazing. We’ll be back again . Since they are transitioning from old to new owners hope the food quality and standards remain same. We’ll be back for sure , thank you.

They had gluten free items in each category and delicious pizza. Fun nautical theme in a casual setting. Excellent service.

Started the meal with fall mushrooms, they were cooked perfectly, next we had the Garlic sticks and wow... The Garlic sticks were made with freshly minced garlic and were absolutely amazing. We added the red pepper oil and shallot oil (both house made) and couldn't stop eating until they were gone. The pizza was also amazing, the crust was perfectly crispy. We got the sausage and shallot pizza and the taste was great. I didn't want to leave without trying the desserts because everything was so good up to this point. I ended up choosing both the apple crumble and dark chocolate brownie and again, so amazing. We visited during the off season and there were only two people there, but the service was still amazing. Definitely will be visiting again.

Delicious garlic sticks, veggie pizza, wine, and dessert! Came during off-season on a dark winter Friday night, felt very welcomed, super hot fresh food, lovely atmosphere. The couple who runs this place are lovely and engaging.

I'd swim to get here if I had to.

Island Pie has the best pepperoni pizza on the island AND the best squash pizza you'll find anywhere in the world! Above all this is the service delivered by the owner. You will meet her at the door and at your table as you begin to enjoy the rest of the dinning experience. I'm going back to Orcas Island next year in a large part to get another meal at ISLAND PIE.

Wonderful meal at a family owned restaurant, right on the beach! So glad we stopped in at this absolute gem. We especially enjoyed the seasonal squash pizza.

Tasty vegetarian squash pizza with a unique, fresh, and delicious cheesecake special for dessert. The staff and owners are all friendly and helpful! The patio is really cute, too. Make reservations ahead of time and save room!

This place is fantastic (I honestly don't understand the unfairly low-ish 3.9 stars rating it currently has). Pizzas are so tasty: we tried "Americas favorite" with pepperoni and cheese and it was delicious. The dough is made in house and is so fresh it melts in your mouth. Garlic knots were delicious as well.
The service is incredibly friendly and fast.
They have university students interning/working during summer along with the owner which is a wonderful way to create opportunities and engage the community.
The ambience is welcoming with music playing in the background and magnificent views from the terrace - you don't want to leave this place (we lingered on the terrace for a while after finishing dinner taking in the view with beautiful colors of the sunset).

This is one of my favorite places to eat! The owners are a wonderfully kind couple that provide a beautiful and welcoming dining atmosphere. My husband and I have made multiple day trips from the Seattle area specifically to visit, where we can watch the boats in the marina over a glass of wine and delicious pizza. Highly recommend the seasonal squash offering the fall, that one was gone almost the second it hit the table!
